Cant the North ern papers, by any possibility, give some variety to their monotonous war-whoops There is a most disgusting sameness in their blood and thunder, sten days, and crushing out rebellion articles.

Their newspapers are becoming as remarkable for great bores as their cannon. If the Yankees, as they predict, are going to devour us like roasted turkeys for their Christinas dinner, let them at least desist from hacking us to death with dull knives. We can put up with their rascality, for that is so unique and unparallele i that iike the Devil, it always keeps the imagination excited and expectation on tiptoe; but their stupidity is intolerable. Cant they invent some new lie, and show the fertility of resources, us well as the un mitigated diabolism of the Father of Fiction Why dont Barnurn offers a reward for a new lie, never yet uttered, against Jeff Davis anti the Southern Confedera cy, or a new war tunc never yet played on those dismal old pibrochs of ten days, sixty days, and ninety? If the vaccination be successful, and the patient be vaccinated in the other arm, four or five days after the firt insertion of the virus, tbe second set of 1 vesicles, though beginning so much later, will catch up with the others, so that from flu ninth day after the first vaccination, they will closely resemble the first set, always being, however, much smaller. MOW TO A COIN One week after the insertion of the vac cine lymph, the resulting vesicle furnishes lymph of the best quality for transfer to other arms. Physicians frequently de ler vaccination until the tenth or twelfth day. In many instances, even at this advanced stage, the perulent lymph wi i produce the proper infection, hut it is far more reliable on the eighth day, just one week after the first insertion. The vaceiiuyshould be carefully punc tured with a lancet, needle, knife or any other suitable instrument, and the clear, transparent lymph which comes forth should he neatly inserted under the cutU of the left arm of the person to be vaccinated.

It should be introduced in three or four places, an inch apart. This introduction may be effected by pricking tbe skin with a needle or making a super ficial puncture with a lancet. If there he much bleeding, it is to be feared that the lymph will not be introduced. With care it is easy to vaccinate 20 or 3D persons from one vesicle, the smallest quails ty being sufficient.
